Knot Lost Description
Knot Lost is a unique and inviting circular 3-bedroom, 2-bath waterfront tucked along the peaceful shores of Green Creek. This one-of-a-kind retreat is designed for comfort, style, and family fun, with water views from the open concept living, dining, and kitchen areas. A private dock with three boat slips are available for your use, providing the perfect starting point to explore the surrounding creeks and rivers of Oriental. The Neuse River, where fresh and saltwater meet, is a thriving estuary known for excellent fishing—home to Red Drum, Tarpon, Croaker, Trout, Spanish Mackerel, and more. For the saltwater enthusiast, the boating community of Ocracoke Island is just 23 nautical miles away, rich in history, unique eateries, and the legendary tales of Blackbeard. The Gulf Stream, only 45 miles offshore, offers access to Billfish, Sailfish, Grouper, Cobia, and Stripers.
The dock is a shared space with the neighboring property. Please note: The three farthest boat slips are reserved for your use. Kindly avoid occupying the two closest slips and always be respectful of the shared environment. Trailer parking is available on the driveway, but as the house is located at the end of a street, parking a trailer will require skilled maneuvering. Street parking is not permitted.
All living spaces are conveniently located on one level, and for added ease, an elevator connects the ground-level garage to the main floor. One of the home’s most charming touches is the beautiful piano, a stunning focal point and a special treat for the pianist in the family. The living room features a large sectional sofa for lounging, along with two oversized chairs perfectly positioned to enjoy your morning coffee or relax with a good book. (Please note: The wood stove is decorative only.)
The dining area comfortably seats six at a counter-height table, and the fully equipped kitchen features peninsula seating, and everything you need to cook and entertain: a refrigerator with ice maker, range with double ovens, built in microwave, toaster oven, and a drip coffee maker.
The primary bedroom includes a king bed, water views, a television, and a master bath with shower. Bedrooms #2 and #3 are located on the opposite side of the home and share a hall bath with shower. Bedroom #2 has a queen bed and water views, while Bedroom #3 features two full beds, a twin trundle, and a nostalgic Atari game system. A full-size washer and dryer are provided in the laundry room for your convenience.
Downstairs, the garage is more than just a parking spot, it’s a hub for family entertainment. Challenge your crew to play a game of ping-pong or basketball, cast a line off the dock, launch a kayak for a peaceful paddle through the creek. You’ll also find a unfinished rec room stocked with fishing rods, a crab trap, charcoal grill, croquet, and ladder golf, perfect for family fun. For added safety, a gate has been installed at the top of the back deck stairs to help keep track of children and pets while enjoying the outdoor space.
Please remember this home is located in a peaceful, residential neighborhood that embraces tranquility, nature, and wildlife. Sound carries easily over the water, so we kindly ask that you be mindful of your noise levels at all times. Parties and events are strictly prohibited. Neighbor complaints will be addressed promptly.
Wi-Fi and Internet are complimentary, and linens and bath towels are provided.
Knot Lost is more than just a stay, it’s a family fun experience. Bring your pup along for the adventure for a small fee of $25 per day per pet.
